Were I still in my early 20's I'm sure that sort of thing would have been a draw for me. But, sorry to say, I am challenged enough these days to just keep up with the physical demands of my little homestead. I am painfully aware of my physical limitations. Thank you for the invitation.

P.S..... Doing that race with your son will be a truly great lifetime memory. Very nice.Herrick Kimballhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17116051416696885647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-426937534786021383.post-88041596208759765862016-10-21T10:35:39.721-04:002016-10-21T10:35:39.721-04:00Dear brother. I am an avid canoe and kayak racer here in Missouri and we have lots of fun races here and a couple of series ones. I know well the Clinton race of which you write. Serious talent there. However, if you ever want to challenge yourself, I would be happy to tandem with you in the Missouri River 340. Yes, that's right. You saw the three-digit number and yes we actually race for 340 miles non-stop. We start in Kansas City and race for approximately 50 hours to a suburb of St. Louis. It's an amazing race and really more fun than you would think, as well as a serious mental challenge. My son and I are scheduled to race it in 2017, so this gives you more than 1 1/2 years to prepare for the 2018 race with me!!!! It's funny how I'm finding more and more homesteaders are also paddlers.

What say you, brother?

DanAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05696058051270765970noreply@blogger.com
